MEANING
Never give up; as long as you are alive, you should be hopeful, because it is possible that your situation will improve. “There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something tomorrow” (Marden) Hope, is a word used too commonly but not defined very clearly. When people hope on something, they are simply wishing for it to happen.
EXAMPLE
Sarah: “What will we do, now that our house and everything we own has burned up?”
Fred: “While there’s life there’s hope.”
